~~2016 is the year of God’s Voice. Even though God has spoken in the past, this year He will speak even more. He will speak more to His chosen who will obey Him. He will speak to people who will resolve to listen, hear and obey. He will speak to and bless the elect who will obey even though His instructions will not be popular. God is seeking in this season for Kingdom-minded; Kingdom-focused people. He is looking for Kingdom-seekers. He is looking for people who are resilient to depopulate the kingdom of darkness and populate His Kingdom for His glory. God is seeking for His chosen who will seek His face to hear His voice and turn in the way He wants them to walk. God is not seeking for people who want to be popular at all cost, but people who will obey Him at all cost! He will raise some new converts who are not interested in titles, but in pleasing God. God is bridging the gap between the pew and the altar. He will raise people from the pews who will replace some preachers. God is raising from the pews people who will fan the fire of His revival in the church. God is looking for faithful-finishers. He is bridging the gap between the church and the street. He is looking for men and women of God who will pull resources together to have evangelistic outreaches and programs that will populate His kingdom and depopulate the kingdom of darkness. This year, God will ask you to do things that you have never done before. He will direct you to go places you have never been. He will tell you things He has not told anyone else. If you obey Him, you will experience what you have never experienced. You will undergo some challenges that may want you to quit or take a short cut, the Lord is saying if you stick it out you will enjoy the reward. There will be many lying spirits in the church. There will be many “voices” that will sound like the voice of God, but they are not His voices. You must test every spirit to make sure it is the Spirit of God. It will be a year of great increase that will follow battles that will be won. It will be a year of great exploits. However, you must stay with the Lord and look for His TRUTH. Many that proclaim that they are for the Lord will be exposed if they do not turn from their wicked ways. The Lord said He will raise many that will speak against unrighteousness and sin. These are the ones who He promised will walk in an unusual anointing that will amaze many. The Lord is preparing the youth and He will use them more. Many of them will take over from the older folks who have refused to do the Lord's will. The Lord wants to take the obedient to the next level.

For Church leaders, God is saying, “It is not about having another church program or event. It is about where God is leading you this season. I will only lead you if you follow me and not the multitude. My presence is not in the size of your church. I am looking for leaders with a humble and contrite spirit. There are some of you who will be ostracized for my sake. But remember, there is no one who follows me that will miss it. Psalm 125:1, “They that trust in the Lord shall be like Mount Zion, which cannot be removed but abides forever.” Set your face like a flint and focus on my agenda. Focus on my purpose for your life and you will not be put to shame.  Even if you have drawn your church program for the year, ask yourself, “Is this from the Lord?” “I will lead you says the Lord if you will obey me.” “I am looking for leaders who will bridge the gap between the Church and the streets. I am looking for leaders who are not consumed about increasing church attendance, but increasing souls in the Kingdom. I am looking for leaders who will do what they have not done before so they can get the results they have never gotten. I will not be put in the box. I will speak and only those who obey me will see supernatural manifestation. This year, I want to shift your attention to Me. I want to shift your mind set. It cannot and will not be church as usual. You cannot do it like you have done it before. I am leading you on a new path; a path that will require absolute trust in Me. It does not matter what other leaders are doing and what successes they are having. You cannot afford to compare yourself with them. I have sent each one on their unique assignment and my purpose for you is different. I will uncover some hidden truths in My Church I will unearth hidden secrets that I will only reveal to my elect. 2016 is going to be a year of testing for the faithful.”
Are you willing to forego honor by others in order to be fully obedient to God? 2016 promises to be a year of divine manifestation, particularly for those who will obey the voice of the Lord. The more you obey the more He will speak. I will cite a few scriptural examples the Lord gave:
Genesis 6:13-7:5
God said He would establish His covenant with Noah. He instructed him to build an ark and take his wife, his sons, his sons’ wives and two of every kind of animal into the ark because there was going to be a flood. At the time God told Noah that there was going to be a flood, it had never rained in the Earth. Even though it appeared strange, Noah believed God. Even though it was an unpopular and weird thing to do and he was mocked and ridiculed, he still obey God. In Genesis 7:5, “Noah did according to all that the Lord commanded him.”  Can you obey God when every card in the deck is stacked against you? Can you believe God to be the first to do the right thing even when everyone else is not?

Genesis 12:1-4
God said to Abraham, “Get thee out of thy country, and from thy kindred, and from thy father's house, unto a land that I will shew thee……So Abram departed, as the LORD had spoken unto him…….”  He did not know where God was taking him, but he just obeyed the voice of the Lord.

Genesis 22:1-12
“Take now your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you.” So Abraham rose early in the morning and saddled his donkey……….. And Abraham stretched out his hand and took the knife to slay his son…….. And He said, “Do not lay your hand on the lad, or do anything to him; for now I know that you fear God, since you have not withheld your son, your only son, from Me.”

Abraham had waited 25 years for the physical manifestation of a promise. At age 100, Isaac, God’s promise to give him and Sarah manifested. Issac was the answer to God’s promise to him. God now commanded Abraham to sacrifice his promised heir as a burnt offering. When you read the account of Abraham’s life, you will see that he was always willing to make sacrifices to the Lord. Everywhere he went, he built an altar and sacrificed animals to the Lord. This time, God did not ask for an animal, He asked for his promise! God wanted to know if Abraham loved him more than his precious son. God does not want to take what is in your hand. He may just want to see if you are willing to let it go and let Him have it. Abraham had to demonstrate complete faith in God even when he did not understand what God was doing. Faith does not demand explanations. It rests on promises. What do you do when what God says to you is not what you want to hear? What do you do if you have to relinquish your right so God can have His way?

Genesis 26:1-12
“And there was a famine in the land, beside the first famine that was in the days of Abraham….. And the LORD appeared unto him, and said, Go not down into Egypt; dwell in the land which I shall tell thee of……Then Isaac sowed in that land, and received in the same year an hundredfold: and the LORD blessed him.”

The land Isaac lived was going through a period of famine and the logical thing to do was to relocate just like Elimelech in Ruth 1. Issac heard and obey the voice of the Lord at the expense of his livelihood and comfort. He could have lost everything, but he did not because he obeyed the voice of the Lord. It would have been better for him to move to a city that had green pastures for his cattle and rain for his crops. But he didn’t. How do you sow in the drought and reap a 100 folds? What seems impossible with man is possible with God.

Exodus 14:15-22
“And the LORD said unto Moses, Wherefore criest thou unto me? Speak unto the children of Israel that they go forward: But lift thou up thy rod, and stretch out thine hand over the sea, and divide it: and the children of Israel shall go on dry ground through the midst of the sea……. And Moses stretched out his hand over the sea; and the LORD caused the sea to go back by a strong east wind all that night, and made the sea dry land, and the waters were divided. And the children of Israel went into the midst of the sea upon the dry ground: and the waters were a wall unto them on their right hand, and on their left”

Moses was told to do something that had never been done. There was the Red Sea in front of him and the Egyptians in hot pursuit behind him! Can you imagine Moses’s state of mind when God tells him to lift up his rod and stretch his hand to the water? At that point what could he do but to obey the God who performed so many signs and wonders in Egypt. It takes faith in God to obey such a command. The only thing that will save His elect in this season is complete trust in God. If He did it before, He will do it again. We must hear, listen and obey the voice of the Lord even in the most difficult circumstances. When God speaks, a miracle is inevitable. Direction is certain.

Galatians 1:15-16
“But when it pleased God, who separated me from my mother's womb, and called me by his grace, to reveal his Son in me, that I might preach him among the heathen; immediately I conferred not with flesh and blood.”

There some things God will instruct you to do that you cannot confer with man. When God called Paul he knew God called him to the Gentiles and he focused only on his assignment. If he had conferred with the apostles that were before him, for example, Apostle Peter, they would have impressed on him to change his focus. Even though some of the disciples questioned him when he said his assignment was to the Gentiles, Peter refused to be distracted..

I Kings 13:1-33
“………..Then the king said to the man of God, “Come home with me and refresh yourself, and I will give you a reward.” “Come home with me and refresh yourself, and I will give you a reward.” But the man of God said to the king, “If you were to give me half your house, I would not go in with you; nor would I eat bread nor drink water in this place. For so it was commanded me by the word of the LORD, saying, ‘You shall not eat bread, nor drink water, nor return by the same way you came.” So he went another way and did not return by the way he came to Bethel.  Now an old prophet dwelt in Bethel, and his sons came and told him all the works that the man of God had done that day in Bethel; they also told their father the words which he had spoken to the king. And their father said to them, “Which way did he go?” For his sons had seen which way the man of God went who came from Judah. ….. and went after the man of God, and found him sitting under an oak. Then he said to him, “Are you the man of God who came from Judah?” And he said, “I am.” Then he said to him, “Come home with me and eat bread.” And he said, “I cannot return with you nor go in with you; neither can I eat bread nor drink water with you in this place.  For I have been told by the word of the LORD, ‘You shall not eat bread nor drink water there, nor return by going the way you came.’”  He said to him, “I too am a prophet as you are, and an angel spoke to me by the word of the LORD, saying, ‘Bring him back with you to your house, that he may eat bread and drink water.’” (He was lying to him.)
So he went back with him, and ate bread in his house, and drank water. …….. “Thus says the LORD: ‘Because you have disobeyed the word of the LORD, and have not kept the commandment which the LORD your God commanded you, but you came back, ate bread, and drank water in the place of which the LORD said to you, “Eat no bread and drink no water,” your corpse shall not come to the tomb of your fathers……….”

The young prophet was entrusted by his heavenly Master with unfolding the divine judgments to King Jeroboam. This young prophet had done a great work by boldly delivering the message the Lord gave him to the king. However, the Lord told him not to eat or drink in the city or return the way he had come. Unfortunately, the powerful young prophet disobeyed the Lord by obeying the voice of a lying prophet. Will you obey the voice of man even though it is contrary to the word of God? The young prophet was killed by a lion because he obeyed the voice of man rather than the voice of God. The young prophet started well, but died a shameful death. My prayer is that it will not be your portion in Jesus’ name.

In 2016 the voice of God will lead you to great heights. The voice of God will open new doors and take you to places you cannot imagine in your life. The Spirt of the Lord will go before you this year and make crooked paths straight for you. You will not hear echoes in Jesus’ name. God will cause your obedience to be rewarded in a mighty way in Jesus’ name. As you travel through the path in 2016, you will not stumble. You will not fall. You will not be defeated. You will not be put to shame. God will use you as a positive point of reference for His name’s sake. God’s words will be sweet and powerful in your mouth. Your ears will continually be tuned to heaven and all God is saying in the mighty name of Jesus’ AMEN.
